I also tried downloading the entire client again, and it simply installed Quantum Rise. I've also tried to download the latest patch from the Eve site, but I get a 404 error once I select the link.

I think the main problem here is:
1. CCP does not YET have official Apocrypha full build in the downloads section nor official patch (or I'm so blind I don't see them there)
2. They made too many builds and patches, and now we are all confused which to use, to download...

Point is just not to rush, maybe 24h restrain from EVE will bring back good old EVE patch downloader :)
In mean time, we'd better all get some real life.
For the money they are receiving they should make sure this slide with minor errors, not mess like this. I got my client to works now, but I'm p****d they are not giving ANY written solution to this. Instead, like always, we - players, need to fix their mess and to help other players.
Can they just make ONE reply with this:
Download this first, then download that. Plain simple!

It's answered many times here:
Incompatible version means you are still using old version (5.20)...
Read my posts, or other posts in this thread - that will lead you to solution.
